Getting Ready for Rosh Hashana

Our kindergarten and first grade students were very busy these last two weeks preparing for the Rosh Hashana holiday.  Enjoy the video and have a Happy, Healthy and Sweet New Year!

Off to A Great Start

We started the year off with some amazing art adventures!  The Kindergarten and first grade classed learned all about paints, brushes and portfolios.  Then they used what they learned to create a special portfolio of their own to collect the artwork that they will make over the coming year.  The second and third grade classes explored the world of symmetry and created transparent butterflies using puffy paint, tracing paper and even some cool sequins.  The fourth, fifth and sixth grade classes discovered some of the mysteries behind color illusions and created their own pastel contrast drawings.  Here is a video to enjoy watching my young artists at work.  Have a wonderful week.

Hi everyone!  It's time to start up our recycling project again!!! This year I will be collecting paper towel tubes,  crystal light containers, wine corks, old cds, bottle caps, shoe boxes and magazines.  Please make sure that all magazine content is appropriate for the school environment.  As of now I will not be collecting egg cartons as I have too many of those already.  You can also earn 5 extra recycling points by bringing in your journal from last year for reuse.   Have fun recycling!!!

Here is a link to all of the videos I sent you last year.  Have a great summer.  I can't wait to see you all next year!!!
